Winter Fling

WINTER FLING 2018 IS COMING SATURDAY, MARCH 3!

Advance ticket sales have ended. A limited number of walk-up tickets will be available at the door, starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday for $35. We’ll also have “party only” entrance tickets for $15.

Tired of the cold weather? We’ve got your answer. An old-fashioned Hawaiian luau!

This year’s Winter Fling will whisk you away to the islands for some fun and (hopefully) sun and, as always, our amazing silent auction that helps fund our neighborhood activities for the entire year.

The party begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Resident Culture Brewing (2101 Central Ave). Advance sale tickets are $30 ($35 at the door)

That gets you:

    • Entrance to the event
    • Great live music from Music 4 Life and New Local
    • A delicious Hawaiian-inspired dinner from the great folks at Roots Catering
    • Your first beer free from Resident Culture
    • Dessert from The Toasting Company (for the first 150 attendees)
    • Coffee from Queen City Grounds
    • One raffle ticket for your chance to win some fantastic door prizes

We’ll also have games, a photo booth, and much more. And for the basketball fans, don’t worry. We’ll have the Duke-North Carolina game on the big screen. Oh, and of course, everyone gets lei’d.

Not ready to call it a night at 10? Join us at Midwood Country Club (just next door!) for the official Winter Fling After Party, where they’ll have $5 PBR+bourbon shots for all Fling guests.

This has been a neighborhood tradition for years, and annually we bring hundreds of neighbors together to mix, mingle and raise funds for our community. The overwhelming feedback we’ve gotten from attendees the past few years is that they want Fling to be a Plaza Midwood-focused event, but the only way we can do that is if you get your tickets in advance and invite your friends and neighbors to do the same!

All money raised from our silent auction goes to The Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association general fund. In recent years, money raised from this event has helped fund our summer movies in the park series, our community garden, dog stations around the neighborhood, and support for neighborhood schools, charities and events.

There’s a limited supply of tickets available for pre-sale, so don’t wait to get yours!

A big thanks to our hosts, sponsors and donors…
