Midwood Gives Back 2016

Midwood Gives Back is like the GrubHub of charity… it couldn’t be any easier.

PMNA and other Plaza Midwood neighbors will be collecting donations for three nonprofit organizations doing good work in the Charlotte community on Saturday, Sept. 23, and all you have to do (aside from volunteering to help!!!) is leave your donations on your front porch.

Approximately two weeks before Midwood Gives Back, you will find a paper bag on your doorstep where you can leave donations for Second Harvest Food Bank, Shamrock Elementary and Project HALO.

What to put in that bag:
1.    Second Harvest Food Bank – Canned goods and non-perishable food items.
2.    Shamrock Elementary School  – School supplies.
3.    Project HALO, a non-profit, NO-KILL animal rescue and sanctuary based in Charlotte, NC     www.projecthalo.net – Pet food and or supplies.

On the day of Midwood Gives Back, simply leave your bag of items on your front porch or stoop, and a group of volunteers will come by to collect your items.  If you forget to put your items out that day, contact us and we will come to collect them.

But, while donations are easy, we will need help both handing out and picking up bags, so please mark your calendars for Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 to join your neighbors for a morning of volunteer activity!

To sign up to volunteer for bag pick up or drop off. Email PMNA’s Randy Podosek at randy_podosek@yahoo.com or Midwood Baptist Church paster Garry Baldwin at pastorgarry@gmail.com to let them know you can help.
