Your're Invited to the 2010 Winter Fling — Saturday, February 13th
Mark your calendars — it’s PARTY time in the neighborhood again! Need something to look forward to after the holidays and to help combat those winter blues? We have just the thing for you — Winter Fling! Who says you can’t party with your neighbors during the cold winter months?? Take note that this fantastic soiree is two weeks earlier than usual… so don’t let the time creep up on you; book your sitter and make your plans now.
Winter Fling is scheduled for Saturday, February 13th at the VanLandingham Estate from 7–11 PM. Admission prices will be announced later, however, it includes some of the best food in the South prepared by our VanLand chefs, rocking music by a local DJ, fabulous door prizes, a cash bar and lots of fun with your neighbors and friends — all in the opulent setting of the beautiful VanLandingham Estate. The Fling is open to any and all and is a great way to meet your neighbors and learn more about the great activities and committees sponsored by PMNA.
A highlight of the evening will be the Arts and Services Auction Fundraiser for the Community Garden Group — which successfully raises money for your Community Garden in Midwood Park. Please come with open checkbooks and help this worthy group. Plus, you’ll take home great artwork, services, and other wonderful items. For more information see the related article on page 10 of this issue.
If you want to extend your party, the Estate will be renting their stunning rooms to neighbors for the night. These can go fast — so if you’re interested, call early (see contact info below). The overnight stay includes a truly sumptuous breakfast the next morning.

What is the Winter Fling?
Hosted by the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association and the VanLandingham Estate, this annual neighborhood tradition features an evening of great food, cash bar, dancing, door prizes, a silent auction — all in the opulent setting of the beautiful Van Landingham! The Fling is open to anyone and is a great way to meet your neighbors and learn more about the great activities and committees sponsored by PMNA.
