Plaza Midwood Christmas Bazaar & Workshop

December 1 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Skip the mall and come to Resident Culture Brewing for our first annual PMNA Christmas Bazaar and Workshop.

We’ll have stations set up to help all attendees craft their own Christmas Light Balls to hang on your trees. The goal is to fill the neighborhood with lights in time for our 2nd Annual “Deck the Streets” 5K on Dec. 14 through Plaza Midwood. Need supplies or want to order a pre-made Christmas Light ball? You can do that HERE. The house with the best display will earn our December Yard of the Month honors.

Want to sign up for the 5K? You can do that HERE.

But it’s not all work in Santa’s workshop — er, brewery.

We’ll have Santa on site for photos for you, your kids or your family. Photos are 100% free, courtesy of PMNA and YoPhotog.

We’ll also have Christmas Carolers from Opera Carolina, great beers from Resident Culture, tons of food and other treats, and a full holiday shopping bazaar so you can knock out all your gifts while having fun with your neighbors.

The event starts at noon and runs until 5 p.m.

The following is a recommended supply list if you’re interested in building your own Christmas Light Balls, and instructors will be on hand to assist.

• One roll chicken wire (poultry netting) – 2′ x 50 ‘ makes 10-12 small balls

• Two, 100-count mini-light strands PER BALL ( Ex. 10 packs of lights makes 5 balls)

• Work gloves (Thick enough to prevent stabbing yourself with chicken wire)

• Wire cutters or sheers (We will have plenty of these on site if you do not wish to purchase your own)

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Refugee Support Services, a 501(c)3 providing a multitude of programs to assist refugees who have been resettled in Charlotte.
