Inside|Out Charlotte Art in Plaza Midwood

May 10 - July 31

Imagine encountering Andy Warhol’s Marilyn outside a YMCA or emerging artist DeShawn Dumas’ Art Official Age in the middle of a park. Starting May 10 through mid-July, Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents will be able to do just that! Two local institutions – the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture – are joining forces to bring Inside|Out to Charlotte.

Eleven of these artworks are currently installed around Plaza Midwood, offering a wonderful example of art in our community.

A half-hour bike ride allows you to see all 11 installments around the neighborhood following THIS ROUTE, or you can improvise on your own.
