Fall Crawl 2009 - Another Special Event!

The 2009 Fall Crawl Cankerworm Festival continued the tradition of excellence! Neighbors did not let the early rain get to them and stayed around to enjoy great music, food, beverages and activities - and collected plenty of treebanding supplies to boot! A huge thanks to all the neighborhood volunteers that make this a truly special day in Plaza Midwood!

2009 Music Line-up

Settle in at the Midwood amphitheater for an afternoon neighborhood friends, beer, food and live local music:

12:30 – 1:30 Sergio Agraz: Born in Mexico City, Sergio sounds like a mix of Mexican Elvis, Alejandro Fernandez with the influence of the Gipsy Kings and Carlos Santana's beat!

2:00 – 3:00 Nita Belk and The Swingin' Soiree: Midwood's favorite band returns to deliver an eclectic Rock and Blues show that is always a sure hit.

3:30 – 4:30 Mike Strauss: Well known as one of the best young songwriters in Charlotte, t his dude is also a warm, gritty, lyrical storyteller - but he's also amazingly modest for all that talent.

5:00 - 6:00 Beth Chorneau: Hands down, the best Jazz singer in all of Charlotte finally graces the Midwood stage! "clean jazz and torch singing at its absolute best." -Charlotte Monthly

12:00 pm	"Trunk or Treat" (lots o' candy & BBQ) Kilgo United Methodist Church, Belvedere Ave.
12:00 pm - 5:30 pm	Festivities in Midwood Park Live Music Food, Beer, Local Artists and Vendors Children’s Activities including Pumpkin Painting (12-3 pm) and Scarecrow Stuffing (1-2 pm) in the Community Garden. Composting Workshop
*All events are in Midwood Park unless otherwise noted, near the intersection of Winter and Wilhelmina off of Mecklenburg Avenue.
