2900 Belvedere Ave  |  Ellen Kelly & Grace Morales

Sponsored by Fern Flavors from the Garden

In 2013, Ellen Kelly tried to buy a stunning midcentury modern home at 2900 Belvedere Avenue, but the deal fell through. She bought a new house on Chatham Avenue, but never got over losing Belvedere. In 2016 and newly married to Grace, the couple reached out again through Facebook to the then-owners of 2900 just to let them know they’d love to buy the house if it ever came up for sale again. Turns out the owners were thinking of moving to the lake! So the process of owning 2900 Belvedere began again. This time, things fell easily into place and now the couple are the delighted owners of this unique home.

Ellen and Grace moved in March 2017 and have luckily only needed to make primarily cosmetic changes. Every surface, inside and out, has been painted. New countertops, backsplash, range top, kitchen sink and faucet have been installed, along with new cabinet hardware on the freshly painted kitchen cabinets. Next reno project is to put in new windows along the back of the house to showcase the extensive work that Ellen has completed in the back yard. 2900 Belvedere has a great feel and Ellen and Grace agree there is something special about the house. They came to find out the original owner was a minister and held prayer/ healing meetings in the house many years ago. That makes perfect sense and explains the peaceful vibe people acknowledge when they walk through the door.
